It's hard to articulate just what about Megan Fox is so annoying. Yeah, she won the genetic lottery (except for that thumb, but we can't hate on her for that), she's got that bad-girl appeal and she is hotter than hell. But the woman definitely comes off as uncouth, to say the least, anytime she opens her mouth. After all, she did beat out Scarlett Johansson for the title of one of the most, er, annoying chicks in America.
For example, she recently told EW that she "wasn't proud" of her work in "Transfomers" and that "If I really buckle down, I think one day I could be a very good actress. But so far, I haven't done anything yet." Fans say she's simply refreshingly honest and self-deprecating, but others think that blase attitude contributes to the objectification of women.
We saw this article today on CollegeCandy.com that really hammers the point home: She's bad for women.
That this type of woman – who comes across as a crude simpleton and takes on movie roles nearly pornographically portraying her body – is the ultimate male ideal, should trouble all women. Intentionally or not, the global obsession with her sends a message to women that perfection means impossible beauty and a serious lack of social graces, if not a lack of intelligence.

Hey, she speaks her mind. I think she's very pretty... who ever was her plastic surgeon did a fine job. Speaking your mind isn't bad. But, she was a good actress in Transformers... she didn't think she did well in Transformers?? Well, she's just another woman in a million so she really isn't giving us women a bad reputation. & I do agree beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

What a stupid article. She's just saying that she wants to be a better actress, which is exactly what all young actors should aspire to. The problem with most young "actors" today is that they get trapped by their own celebrity and never try to become real actors. Most of them are just being themselves, as pretty and charming as they are, and not really acting worth a damn.

well yea if she's had done everything they say done then she better look good. what ever happen to natural beauty, cuz there are a lot of naturaly pretty girls around and they don't need anything done to make them look any better.... maybe hollywood should look elsewhere for fresh new faces and not the fake ones......but it seems no one minds that women pay money to make theirself look so fake. there is more to a women than her boobs why can't women get that through their heads....we can't even trust that womens eyes are the real color they are because so manhy wear the colored contacts and they can make your eyes look beautiful..is being FAKE the new thing these days??

Give Ms. Fox the benefit of the doubt! At least she is not an anorexic or bulimic waif! Her role has her working on an engine. Even Star Trek only has male mechanics! Yes, she probably has little clue in higher superscience, but fact is, the same goes for most people. I don't even know who this girl is, I have never seen any of her movies. My man doesn't even know who she is. I am not jealous of her, but I do think she puts on a front and from the things I read she said about her being bisexual is all just an act. I feel sorry for girls like her, and I don't think she is bad for women, but bad for impressionable young gullible girls, just like Paris Hilton is. Paris Hilton and Ms. Fox are very pretty but seem dumb as bricks, and I do not want anything they have, I happen to love the way I look and wouldn't trade bodies or looks with anyone else. Not all women who dislike her are jealous, they are just voicing their opinion. That's like saying all women who defend her are gay for her or something stupid like that.

Just my 2 cents but as a girl looking to see a good movie I find it really annoying when you pay money for a movie that you should be able to take your little brother to without feeling embarrased and then there is an entire role dedicated to some chik doing playboy-photoshoot poses for almost 2 hours.
it's supposed to be about robots saving the world not megans body. and trust me i'm not jealous there are plenty of hollywood women who i think are gorgeous and who can act and actually make the movie better instead of making it borderline pornographic. but that of course is up to the directors.
megan however does control her image day to day. and yeah she's highly annoying (sorry). i have friends who are opinionated and not afraid to say whats on their mind but they don't seem so desperate to show how "different" and "unique" they are. Megan really can't ever complain if no one takes her seriously because she says things that make people think she doesn't mind just being a face and nicely placed body parts. STOP TELLING US YOU'RE INTELLIGENT! maybe if you stopped acting like some horney guys puppet and stopped trying to me the male fantasy people would come to that conclusion on their own.

I think she's stunning. Women are really sad creatures. You'll kill each other for a quarter, or to get the last shirt that's on sale. This is just another example of how catty you are. This girl is physical perfection, and you look for ways to nit pick because you're jealous of it. To the ones complaining that "She's pretty but she's stupid!", two things: 1) Have you ever considered the possibility that maybe she's just acting stupid, or just acting like an every day person? I don't see where her character in Transformers is "stupid". In fact, that character has a knowledge of engines and a mechanical aptitude that would put some GUYS to shame. 2) You'd better thank God that she does "act stupid", because if she was that stunning AND a neurosurgeon, guess what? It's bad enough that most women feel second-rate, and have to go out of their way to find methods of keeping their men attracted to them.
Lately, I've witnessed countless men obsessing over Fox, while their girlfriends just try to ignore it.
I hate that so many people just blame it on jealousy, when it very well could be more than just that. Women are naturally sensitive in comparison to men, and we naturally seek acceptance from our spouse. It's a bit of a blow to the self-esteem when a woman's man is obsessing over some smokin' hot lady. It sets a standard that is impractical, and unattainable.

This reporter needs to get a life. If anyone truely thinks that others don't judge them by their looks they must be blind! (pun intended) Get real people, you get judged on your looks in numerous occasions, JOBS included! If a job promotion was between a beautiful woman and an average woman, both with equal skills, the beautiful woman would be the one with the promotion. A lot of Teachers grade you higher if you are good looking, and you will get treated differently by people if you are good looking VS average. That's life..get over it.

I agree with the person who said she looks kind of slutty. She's pretty but I don't get why everyone is making such a big deal, I think there are lots better looking women in Hollywood than her! It's just that they slut her up for "impact" shots, using special lighting and such.

I don't think we should over analyze and judge megan Fox on what she say, I believe that she is just being honest. She's in the movies because she is hot, sexy and has that bad girl appeal. How is that any differnt thanthe appeal to women of an acotr like Christian Bale, Johnny Depp Robert Pattison all of which have been given roles in movies because the exemplify the male counterpart of noo nonly Megan Fox but Angelina Jolie and a whole host of other hot dangerous appealing actresses. As we have seen in countless carrers of actors and actresses some actually get a chane to show us how good an actor or actress can be because they get a real good movie that brings the best out of them. Angelina has a had a whole lot of those type of movies to show her emense talent. Maybe one day megan Fox will get a chance to show what she can do with a role where she's much more than a pretty face. Another actor who has gotten many chances and proven that he is a very good actor is Brad Pitt, and Christian Bal and Heath Ledger. Let's face it most of hollywood goes on looks, it's the lucky and mostly the good actors get the chance to show us just how good they are. Megan Fox is way to young to be judged to be good or bad for anything. An please everybody remember it's Hollywood i.e. fantasy and megan Fox is a lot of young guys dream girl just like Farrah Faucet was and so many othe young beautiful actresses in the past. Lighten up people it's not real life, it's story telling and escapism and what else do a lot of Americans have except to escape reality by going to the movies. Why do you think the box office revenues for movies hasn't dropped but has increased.

Did she really get a boob job? And all that plastic surgery, because fake boobs to hang like that XD. Maybe the nose, but, I don't care how many people say it looks real, usually implants and "tweaks" are pretty obvious. I can see the lip thing though. Kind of. . . . . . She's not a bad chick though. It seems to me that women worrying that another woman may be bad for women is really bad for women. Are women so insecure that they have to have others take another woman down a peg because she intimidates them?Insecurity is a very unnattractive trait, and it makes women seem catty. Men are visual creatures, but real men know there are other things just as important. There are girls for the eye, and then there are women for the heart. If all Megan Fox has going for her is unapproachable beauty, she has a short lived gift indeed.
