Even though summer is flying by, there's still plenty of time to enjoy its pleasures -- and endure its little annoyances, like bug bites and sweltering cars. These tricks make life more like the idyllic lemonade commercial it should be this time of year.

Stay Cool When You Commute

Deal with the climate change by freezing a bottle of water the night before work. (You can also toss your bra and underwear in the icebox for about 30 minutes before you leave -- seriously! It's refreshing.) During your commute, sip on your melting water bottle, and finish it when you get to work and slip into your regulation freezing-AC cardigan.

Avoid Wonky Tan Lines
To eliminate the pasty raccoon patches you get from wearing sunglasses, add a moisturizer with sunscreen to your water-resistant concealer. Applying around the area covered by your shades will make the lines less severe.

Banish Hair Drama
Humidity is a tragedy that affects each and every one of us. Learn this well: Hit up a Sephora or a drug store and find travel-size or smaller containers to keep little portions of dry shampoo (if you're prone to lankness) or serum (if you tend to frizz) at all times.

De-Grease on the Shore
Ever notice how the ink from your UsWeekly ends up all over your slickly SPFed skin at the beach? The fix: Bring small bottles of hand sanitizer and baby powder to the beach. After applying your sunscreen, clean up with the gel, then sprinkle the powder liberally on your palms, thighs and stomach (and anywhere else you rest the magazine as you read). The white stuff also does double duty as a sand remover; just dust it all over after you leave the shore.

Save Your Suit
Other than salt-water taffy, everyone's least favorite souvenir from the beach is half the actual beach that lingers in your bikini. Get rid of it by washing the suit in cold or warm water after every wear, ideally with a mild detergent. Then, once you've hung it in the shade to dry, hold the fabric vertically, take four inch sections and pull them tight, and flick the fabric so the grains of sand pop free.

Make Bumps Buzz Off

Here's a quick all-natural antidote to itchy mosquito bites: Mix of a few spoonfuls of baking soda and apple cider vinegar and dab on the bump with a cotton ball to quell the urge to scratch.
