When you're lazing on the sand, your only beauty concern should be whether you're using enough SPF to avoid tan lines. These tricks let you put your mind on more important things, like whether an elephant ear or a bucket of fries makes a better boardwalk snack.Cover Up a Splotchy Bikini Line
So you forgot to wait a day between shaving and hitting the beach, and now your V-zone looks like the site of a measles outbreak.
Camouflage it instantly with this trick from Rike: Dab on a spot remover, then layer on a concealer with a greenish tint. The spot remover helps the redness-removing concealer adhere to skin. Then cover with your normal foundation.

Make Waves With Your Locks
You can have body worthy of a swimsuit cover -- at least as far as your hair goes -- with this trick from Tonya Rounds, owner of The Colour Box in New York City:
1) Shampoo and condition your hair the morning of your beach trip. While it's wet, run a styling gel through it with your fingers.
2) Pull the strands up into a loose ponytail on the crown of your head and secure with a rubber band. Wrap the rest of your hair around the base in a loose bun, tucking the ends under the bulk of your hair.
3) Secure with another rubber band.
4) Spray with a lightweight leave-in conditioner that has SPF in it throughout the day to keep it conditioned.
5) An hour before you leave the shore, remove the rubber bands and shake free some sexy loose waves.
Another tip: Don't use lemon juice to lighten your locks on the days that you're swimming; the fruit acid can be too drying when combined with chlorine or salt.
Look Cute From the Beach to the BBQ When There's No Shower in Sight
It only takes a few key tools, says makeup artist Ashley Rike.
In the a.m., put on a waterproof eyeliner, mascara with primer, and a liquid foundation with silicone or powder in it. (She likes Makeup Forever's products. They are the best at staying put when she works on beach and underwater photo and TV shoots in hot zones like Miami, Dallas and Los Angeles.)
Then, at night, remove salt- and chlorine-induced eye redness with re-wetting drops. Refresh your face with tinted moisturizer that matches your tanned tone, and dab on tinted lip balm and cheek stain to the apples of your cheeks.
