Can we be honest? Even though those Gosselin children can say the darnedest things, that's not the real reason we tuned into TLC's "Jon and Kate Plus Eight."Who doesn't want to watch Kate emasculate and humiliate Jon each week by bossing him around and tossing insults to him like a football? So when reports surfaced that Jon was drinking, partying and actually having some fun with a woman who was definitely not Kate, we cheered.
It was no shock that the world's most publicly miserable couple announced this week that they're filing for divorce. Meanwhile, the show is about to go on hiatus and its future is unclear.
Now that their marriage is dunzo, should the Gosselins cancel the show, too? And if it stays on, will you still watch? Share your opinions in the comments!

Everyone is saying Kate is a 'good mother' WAKE UP! She's on TV. We're all 'good mothers' in the public's view. Some of the kids need a good arse spanking. Especially one of the older twins. As Im sure we all know which one. LOL.

This show is unbearable to watch....the wife seems like a very controlling woman. I only watched it maybe twice, the new show "Raising Sextuplets" is MUCH more enjoyable to watch, the parents seem MUCH more eqauls in their parenting and marriage.

What a mess! These people are seriously troubled! They need to get off TV and clean up their lives and take care of their children. Both Jon and Kate are money hungry and self-centered egotists! They are in love with celebrity and have lost their original "Christian" values. Time to go back to prayer. I think God will knock them both WAY DOWN before they wake up and realize how much they have lost. How sad.....

Please explain to me how you think that Kate is an unfit mother. She does not beat her children do drugs around her children. I know a lady who was caught in a car behind walmart with a needle sticking out of her arm with her 1 year old in the car jumping around at 4 in the morning and when dhs was called the said that doesnt prove she is an unfit mother. She got to keep her child.
So please explain why you think she is unfit mother??????

I don't think Kate is an unfit mother, however I do believe she needs to get off her Soapbox and own up to her Ego. She is wonderful with her children, though as a mother of 3 grown children, I do think she needs to stop the Whining and Immaturity you see in her twins, ideally one in particular. These children are spoiled, Jon and Kate are both to blame for this. Kate is the dominant one, Jon passive and inmature. Something needs to give and I hope both of them get the help they NEED.

Get real ktfire, Kate is not the one who stepped out on her marriage to mess around with a drinking drugged teenager!!!!!!!! She's a good mom who has a very trying family (how many kids do you have?) I know from experience that raising kids is a tough job and Jon needed to get off his duff and step up to be a parent!!!!!! I feel sorry for Kate and she needs to be supported not judged. So until you have raised 8 kids and had your lazy husband sleep around on you keep your opinions to yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just curious? What on earth does Kate have to yak about so darned much on her PINK cell phone? In almost every single scene she is either talking, holding it, pointing with it or have it tucked in her pocket. Does she have an agreement with some company? It takes away from her time spent as a MOM
tending to her kids: How many times have you said: "Hush, I'm on the phone right now"?

Jon has said repeatedly he did not want the show to continue, however Kate always maintained the control over that, now maybe the public will make the decision for her, and she will tumble off her throne

I think she is a good mom but too many hangups...the kids need to be able to be kids and there is no way she can be perfect...which is obviously what she strives for.....it's driven jon away...he is passive and immature...
I don't understand why they didn't at least try some counceling...they just throw in the towel....just like that.
I think it went to their heads and they both got greedy...it started out to be all about the kids....then it was about going green and the motorcycles, trips....the kids were in the background...
If I do start watching it....i don't think it will be for long....it's all acting....they remarried in Hawaii....well...that was all just for show..........

One thing is certain, I sure as hell don't want my kids learning ANYTHING from The Learning Channel !!! The greedy SOB's at TLC should have canceled this show a long time ago. In fact, they should never have put this show on in the first place. I hope they all choke on the money.....and that includes Jon and Kate.

I mean, it's one thing to feel that the show is dumb or that Jon and Kate are not the greatest parents, but it is downright evil to say that you wish that they would choke on their money! What kind of horrible person would wish that no matter how much they dislike a person that they don't ever freaking know???

Those kids looked horrible on this show which yes I did watch all the time. They were miserable and whinny more so than most children.
If anyone ever did watch Kate was a horrible shrew of a person and how Jon stayed with her as long as he did is unimaginable. I bet he now feels young and free. It must have been worse than living in prison for that poor man.
