We all know Kris Allen took home the American Idol gold. But let's be honest -- the real star of the season was sometimes annoying, yet always entertaining, runner-up, Adam Lambert -- and he's already signed with the same record company. (Not a shabby consolation prize, eh?) Both of their debut albums will drop in the fall. Meaning, the real competition is on. And this time, it's the big leagues: instead of garnering votes, the dudes are selling records. And if AI history has taught us anything, it's not necessarily the champs that make it big. Jennifer Hudson, anyone?
Lemondrop and Life and Style magazine want to know -- will Kris Allen prove America made the right choice, or will Adam Lambert pull a Clay Aiken and outsell the winner from second place?

Personally I do not like Adam, I think he is trying way too hard to be different. He is a good singer, but he can only sing really big showstopping songs, he cannot sing ballads or soft songs. Kris would be good in all types of settings, small clubs, bars, stadiums, arenas or even fairs: Adam would only be good in giant arenas he over sings too much. I think Kris is appeals to many diiferent types of people where Adam only appeals to edgier teenagers, or fans of the 80s, since many of the songs he sings end up sounding like something Axel Rose would have sung.

Kris' audience will be teeny boppers or old ladies, he can sing the ballads but cannot come close to singing rock. It would be like Clay Aiken trying to sing Ozzy Osbourne, he doesn't have the chops for it. Let the Miley Cyrus fans buy his albums or the Barry Manilow fans buy them, people with the need for a beat, guitars, and strong vocals will buy Lamberts stuff.

Adam can do it all...Kris is a nice guy but he will be perfect for small clubs and bars. It will take large arenas to hold Adam's fans.
Look at all the media coverage Adam has received plus The Young Hollywood Award. Someone finally got it right!!!! I've heard nothing about Kris. When is his 20/20 interview or Rollingstone Cover?

There's not an honest person in America who doesn't know that Adam is so far superior a singer to Chris it's ridiculous. The fact that Chris won shows how deep the fears and prejudices of many Americans are. Adam got a standing ovation from the judges. He was called a "world class star". But after the vote, It was like the twilight zone - listening to all the phoney praise for Chris. He's OK, but he is no idol. Everyone knew it then and everyone knows it now.

annoying? r u kidding me? adam is a musical genius and i can't wait until his album comes out and blows all previous album sales. i bought all his idol songs and the hair on my arms still stand up everytime i listen...never a wrong note. just a beautiful voice and so well mannered and articulated in interviews. he seems very intelligent or maybe just more mature than most singers these days!

LOL! The people who posted here who don't think that Adam will be a global star are so off base. He is already a global star and he hasn't even released his CD. With the producer he now has (Lady Gaga's producer), he will go platinum within 6 months of the release. He will fill stadiums and there is already talk of a makeup line.
