Good news for anybody who doesn't have the proportions of a comic book heroine or Pamela Anderson: Allegedly, men prefer the average woman's body type to pin-ups, centerfolds, supermodels and anybody else you've probably been jealous of recently.An Australian study showed men line drawings of women's figures and asked them to pick the ones most appealing. The men preferred women with a waist-hip ratio of 0.7, but only if the waist and hips were average-size, as in U.S. size 12.
Then to strengthen their argument they compared the line drawings to Playboy centerfolds (for science, guys, for science), Australian escort service advertisements (also for science, who do you think these guys are?) and average women. The preferred line drawings most closely matched the average woman.
Despite all that hard science, we're left wondering just who is supporting the multimillion-dollar industry that produces all those magazines and videos full of impossibly thin and buxom women. Are we sure these researchers knew what they were doing?

I don't agree. Men say they like rail thin women because they don't want their buddies to know they like a girl to have a little meat on their bones. Real women have a waist smaller then their hips as in curves. When men do the air shape of a woman it's the shape of an hour glass.Most pictures are photo shopped and real life is not tv. In the Bible there is not one line that says women love your husbands. However, it does say many, many times that man should love their wives like Jesus loved the church. Why? Sounds to me like you have issues.......I will tell you that men find women who type in all caps to be ANNOYING.....because if just reading your post is a turn-off, then maybe THAT'S why men don't like you, not because of your body type.
Real men don't like women who are bony and built like 12 year old boys, and we don't like women who rely on plastic surgery. Fake boobs are the biggest scam out there......you may attract a sleezebag or two with fake boobs, but men generally prefer a woman who's natural. Look at it this way......would you want a man with pectoral or penis implants? I doubt it......
Plastic surgeons and the cosmetics industry have created a false need for their services....a self-fulfilling prophecy that you all buy into. Women basically wear makeup to keep OTHER women from criticizing them. Do women look better with a LITTLE makeup? Sure.....but I'll tell you straight away that we want women who still look like themselves when they DON'T have makeup on.

guess what?not all guys want bones! there are alot of guys(real men) who want meat on their women. give me the 10,12,14 &16 size woman(as long as the waist is smaller than the hips & chest). and I know a whole lot of guys that like the same thing! especially if the thighs and calves are very well shaped. Well, I've known this my whole life! : ) I remember being in high school, upset that my hips, behind and bustline were popping out all over. I wanted to look like the thin, waspy, cheerleader-types. However, what happened was that I ended up getting hit on and flirted with from that point on. I've never had a lack of dates and have received my share of compliments in my life. I wouldn't ever change my sexy figure for the thin model-type, and I certainly am thrilled not to have those ugly fake, plastic breasts! I've always been told that a man wants a woman's body...and boys want the Barbie Doll type. I guess it's true.

I agree with you. I have never had a problem with getting dates, or meeting people because i am 40 pounds bigger than most women my size. There are a lot of beautiful clothes and styles out there for us bigger older women and men just love it. A lot of older men (40's to 60's) like women that are sure of themselves, carry themselves proudly and can look a man in the eye honestly and sincerely. I do not care what u say, men like women for who they are and how self assured they are. Looks go, ( that is weight, wrinkles and hair) but your mind and your heart always stay the same.
If you are a size 2, and have no personality, no man will stay with u more than 10 minutes.
