how did u not know the monkey was going to die? its a friggin remake and not only that but the story has been used in shows like the simpsons. you definately deserved the emotional torment due to you serious retardation. you should just go get a knife and end it all real quick, cuz if you cried for that long for something that you should have known was going to happen then you just aren't ready for real life and probably never will be.

You're all missing the point! The point is that all of these movies had a good theme and a happy ending! Yes, there is sadness, but to say that they shouldn't be watched because of it is pretty extreme, and kind of stupid!

I think its up to the kids, and there parents of course. If the kids get upset about it the parents or guardian can always just sit them down after the movie and explain to them about how life DOES eventually end. I've seen most of these movies, Bambi did make me emotional when his mom died (when i was young). As for king Kong i saw it more as an action movie, but i did get sad when they where hurting the big guy just cause he wanted her.. then again if a big gorilla was holding me while he was going up the empire state building I don't think i would be feeling the same way, I'd probably crap my pants.

Check your real history. Fact of the matter is, Hitler and his armies were both strung out on methamphetamines during his rise and fall from power to the day of his death. Emotions driven by any drug can't be considered true. Heightened maybe but not true. Beauty and the Beast was a great story. Lot of emotion.

Wait, why are they putting this in the list of "Tragic movies kids shouldnt watch" or whatever. last time i checked this was a PG-13 movie. Kids shouldnt be watching this in the firstplace. Especially if they're under 7 at least. That movie has some intense scenes that kids shouldnt be watching.

Dear ryan.... Ive never seen the movie Kong in whole but did get to the end where they were killing him. It was so terrible I had to turn the channel. So what envokes someone to be upset about this is being a human being that has FEELINGS! Not being a robot who could care less. this is what makes us compassionate. With whaats happening in the world we all need to learn as much as we can about compassion. It doesnt happen in the animal world alot but every so often does. You REALLY need to learn!
