Ok this is just stupid, death is a part of life and if kids are going to learn about why not in a disney movie?! It is not like it is that graphic when mufasa dies and it is a huge part of the movie. Kids can't be sheltered from the truth about death so at least let them learn about it in a fashion that they can deal with on a cartoon level.

That makes no seence my nephew and nice love that movie they do not care how mufasa got pushed of because they know that would never happen in reall life and there 8 and 5. As I tell my friends... everytime I watch this movie, I cry! Honestly, who wants Mufasa to die?? If anyone should die during the movie, it should've been Scar!! But yeah, but I definately think everyone should still watch these movies, they're memorable and classic. :)

The lion knig is the greatest wild life movie children will everrrrrrrrrr see this is in sane people on here are right it dose not revolve on death it revolves on moving on with life knowing things dont always happen because of a simple mistake. they happen because it happens i love the whole lion king serious 1, 2 1 1/2 great movies lion king(1) is astounting my neci and nephew love lion king 1 they know it is fiction but they still love iot so do my parents so do i every one else who has had a good chilldhood and childhood memories. Not everything is rainbows and butterflies.... I've had a close connection with the Lion King because it came out on theday that I was born... get a grip these movies are great just because they are sad doesn't mean that people shouldn't watch them . They are ways for kids to see that death is natural although it is sad.

Well I grew up with these movies and so did my children and I have them on tape so that I can show them to my grandchildren when they get old enough to appreciate them. Death is just a part of life and my mom would hold me and tell me it would be alright that the animals went to heaven to be with Jesus. It was a way for my mom to teach me about reality. I'm glad she didn't put me in front of a video game so she wouldn't be bothered by me.

Most of these movies I watched as a kid and really, just about every movie that has ever been made has something that everyone fusses about whether it's gayness, death, or sexual content... if these movies aren't fit for children... then what movies are? I think that you should write an article for what children should watch and I'm sure someone will comment something negative about it.
Ok the only reason I commented this was so I could say that the only reason that this movie should be on the list is cause of the fact that in the scene where Simba is no longer a cub and when he's sad and stands on a cliff and lands on the flowers that float away into the baboons hand it spells "Sex" backwards in cursive. ONLY IN THE CLASSIC VERSION!!! you know the VHS
Oh and the little mermaid has a golden male menber on the front as part of the castle on the CLASSIC box...

I have 2 lil girls, 2 and 4, and they love "Lion King", they have no concept of death. All they see is Simba growing up, learning, and triumping. Scar dies too, eaten by hyenas but no-one seems to care about that???? I can name alot of kids movies with death in it. Since when is Dances With Wolves or King Kong kids movies??? They are adult movies, that is why they are rated for PG-13 or R. NOT FOR KIDS~!!!!!!
