I saw White Squall. He just shot it just to be shooting something. But seriouslly, this is NOT KIDS MOVIE. So if your kid had nightmares, IT'S YOUR OWN DAMN FAULT.
Are you kidding me? And what other scarring and painfull things should we shelter our children from? Grandma's death? Not getting everything on their list to Santa? Losing the soccer game on Saturday morning? A zebra being taken down by a pride of lions? Cry me a freakin river! Yeah we all cried when that kid had to shoot Old Yeller. We still do. But that's not a scarring event. The movie displays two ultimate acts of LOVE! Old Yeller putting himself between his family and a rabid wolf, and the boy having to put a suffering, rabid, Old Yeller out of his misery. Bambi's mom dies and Bambi has to go on. A tale of perseverance. Perseverance that leads to Bambi discovering all of the beauty and love the world has to offer!---even though Mom is gone! I suppose "Happy Feet" was A-OK in your book because it showed just how evil the polluting, greedy, humans are? Jesus Juliane, grow up!
Watched White Squall tonight for the first time and thought the killing of the dolphin was HORRIFIC. I've read the posts where is states animals are killed everyday and yes so are people. It's the fact the way he was killed. He was tortured. Imagine your son or daughter going through this horrific torture and see would you feel the same. God has his dolphins here for a reason and it's not to be treated as such especially just to make a movie. I believe we reap what we sow and whoever chose this part in this film will see it again. Just hopefully when it happens to them or one of their loved ones they would be able to stand the pain.
