hoooch was a pathetic film from the start I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Tom Hanks should be ashamed of this one It was a huge butterball TURKEY!
I guess somewriters can't come up with an ending so they just shoot an ugly dog- then run the credits. I think producers feel they have succeeded if they can see a few tears in the lobby. -a pretty low bar.
I might include the oldie Incredible Journey.

Turner and Hooch was a wonderful movie. This guy didnt want a dog and fell in love with this dog- he became his bestfriend. Besides the dog dies saving his life. Get over it... this was a wonderful movie.

You must be a Jehova's Witness with those comments. Make believe and fairy tales and magic has been a standard in movies and books forever. It does not mean that children will turn to witchcraft and the devil... I guess if kids watch Cinderella, they will turn evil, right? I have watched all of those kinds of movies and read all kinds of books and I am a Christian. They certainly did not affect me negatively.

I guess it depends on what kind of day or days you've been having cause I've cried over certain movies including animated ones and some people think Im ridiculous. Well, I JUST lost a puppy so I cant even watch ANYTHING having to do with any kind of animal cruelty or killing or having to give up an animal for whatever reason.
Anyway, Kids need to know that life isnt all about cheery, happy all loving cutsie animals. Bad things happen. Children need to know this even if it is traumatic. Sooner or later they have to learn how to deal with it. Just like I'm going to have to learn to get over the pain of loosing my pup.
