The fact their is a sex scenes in the movie that would be the reason why i wouldn't let my child see this movie. Whether or not the wolf dies isn't the reason for parents not to let their kids not watch the movie.

Please don't tell me that anybody would censor a movie in America soley on the basis if sparing children from the heartbreak of an animal dying. Everybody will experience it at some point in their lives.
Please give the writers of the movies the honors which these people received in the original context in which they were writen. Trying to soften the blow to our children psyche would say to all, that the original theme was to harsh a lesson in real life to put onto a film or other media. Let parents decide when to expose kids to that part of REAL LIFE.

Dances with Wolves was a horrid movie on many fronts. I have refused to watch any movie longer than 2 hours after seeeing this one-it might have been o.k. if it had been edited to 2 hours. It is definitely not for kids, or even teens.

About half of these movies are not appropriate for kids. Anything with a PG 13 or R rating would not be placed in the family section in the video store.

if nothing else, Two Socks symbolized the Indians, he gets killed just like the Indians. And it's very sad, that's the point.
