Closet Fever -- Silje Fashion

Norwegian beauty Silje Pedersen works as a fashion journalist and stylist for a Norwegian fashion site -- and you'd think that'd be enough fix her style addiction. Not so. Instead, she channeled her obsession into Silje Fashion, a site where the talented editrix "shares my knowledge and experience regarding fashion and shopping with anyone interested."

"I love my job!" says Silje. "I get to travel, meet interesting people and write about fashion." Do you hate her yet?


Your favorite clothing items: My new favorite item is a toss up between this new black dress and all of my vintage dresses. I also treasure my bold jacket from Zara and my Diane Von Furstenberg dress. My Chanel handbag will always be one of my most treasured items.


The thing you end up wearing every day: This spring it has been the black leather jacket. And I think I will use it a lot this summer with summer dresses on those chilly nights.


Your favorite online shopping spot: I love Shopbop, Outnet, Forever 21 and of course Ebay. Ebay is amazing for inexpensive deals. My favorite purchases are a Dior clutch, vintage dresses and lots of costume jewelry. I always have something on watch, and my husband just laughs at this.

Your comfort outfit: Comfortable clothes, but never sloppy. If I have to go out I wear my loose 70's jeans from H&M, a vintage blouse, wedges, big sunglasses and a killer handbag. Then I am comfortable, and everybody else talks about the handbag.

Your biggest regret purchase: I have never spent a lot of money on a regret purchase. I have a saying that I go by: "Only buy the things you love, then you don't make fashion mistakes." I do however, own MANY pairs of shoes. Not all are comfortable, but beautiful to look at. One of my favorites are these Pierre Hardy shoes, they really are a piece of art.

Your best bargain find: I love a good bargain! There is nothing like the thrill of getting a designerbag for 50 percent less or an amazing vintage dress for 10 dollars. I got my Gucci handbag for 50 percent of in Paris, and my beloved sequined top at a vintagestore in San Francisco for 30 dollars. Now its priceless. For trend items I always head to H&M and Zara, they always have what I need. For investmentpieces like shoes and handbags, I usually spend more.


Your most nostalgic item: It's my Monique Lhuillier wedding dress. I think it is the most amazing dress that has been made, it made me feel like a million dollars on the most treasured day of my life. If I would give one advice about weddings it is to find a dress that makes you feel that way. Dont save on the dress, you will regret it.
