Sonya Thomas is kind of a terrifying person. We heard that at a Wing Bowl in Philly a few years ago, she accidentally bit off part of her finger in a wing-eating frenzy and ate it.

Now, Sonya -- the reigning women's competitive eating champion who's also known as "The Black Widow" -- has once again reigned supreme, claiming her third Virginia state hot dog eating championship. She took down 36 hot dogs in 10 minutes (that's almost four hot dogs a minute to win the cash prize and beat the second place contestant by a whopping 20 dogs!

We're impressed -- after eating 36 hot dogs, all we'd probably win is 8 lbs. and a trip to the ER.
