DON'T wear ratty kicks.Bosses like people who seem pulled together, and too many workers forget how truly visible their footwear is. Your shoes don't have to be the height of fashion, but make sure they're not scuffed or ratty. A clean appearance from head to toe helps you come off as self-assured.
DO put the "eye" in "team."
Plenty of folks forget eye contact, especially in groups. Keep your eyes on the person who's talking (and no, don't stare at their foreheads -- people are on to that trick), and give everybody individual attention when that person is you. That lets them know that you're taking them seriously.
