Meet Kim. She's the brains and beauty behind the absolutely stunning blog What Claudia Wore, which chronicles the fashion stylings of Miss Claudia Kishi, the artsy one in the "Babysitters Club" books. It's the kind of blog we wish we had thought of first. But we didn't. Kim did. Which makes her pretty much the most awesome girl we have ever met.

When Kim's not dissecting the ins and outs of Claudia, Kristy, Dawn, Mary Anne and Stacy, she's working at UMass, chowing on Mexican food and checking out the latest in social media and street fashions.

And oh, ruling the world with her amazing blog. Check out her cute (and surprisingly non-Claudia style) below.

Closet Fever -- Kim of What Claudia Wore

Meet Kim. She's the brains and beauty behind the absolutely stunning blog What Claudia Wore, which chronicles the fashion stylings of Miss Claudia Kishi, the artsy one in the "Babysitters Club" book series. It's the kind of blog we wish we had thought of first. But we didn't. Kim did. Which makes her pretty much the most awesome girl we have ever met.

Your favorite clothing item: It would be just about impossible for me to pick an overall favorite, but since we're heading into spring, I'll settle on this ecru crocheted top from Forever 21. It's new, but I already know I'm going to be sporting it like there's no tomorrow throughout the spring and summer.

The most expensive thing you own: I tend to spend more money (per item, that is) on shoes than I do on clothes. The most money I've ever dropped at once was $160 for these Reese t-straps by Frye. I maintain that they were worth every penny, because sometimes you just need to feel like a really bohemian stripper.

Your most nostalgic item: This is a tough one because I'm really proactive when it comes to pruning my wardrobe. I guess I'd have to go with this Free Tim Gunn t-shirt from Bravo's online store, which I purchased in 2006 when I was living in Wappingers Falls. It was designed by Daniel Vosovic during the second season of "Project Runway," which is one of the best -- and most quotable -- seasons of reality television ever.

Your biggest regret purchase: I actually love everything about this dress -- except for the fact that it's pink, my least favorite color. You'd think I would have noted this fact during the buying process. The pattern (when close up) is actually a lot of red and orange accented with black, yellow, and powder blue. It wasn't until after the tags were off that I realized it looks very, very pink if you're not standing, oh, two inches away from me.

The thing you end up wearing every day: Costume jewelry, definitely. It's pretty unusual to see me without -- at the very least -- a necklace on. The necklaces here include some of my favorites -- a lot of antique gold and animal charms/pendants.

Your comfort outfit: A few years back, I purchased a very basic forest green pullover hoodie from J.Crew for this very purpose. I'm not really a fan of hoodies, but you need something for those days you accidentally hit the snooze button three times too many. Mostly I was just glad to find a decent quality pullover that didn't have, like, varsity letters or an embroidered woodland creature on it.

Your best bargain find: I heartily congratulate myself anytime I score Free People items from Marshall's or TJMaxx, but the best? Probably my Carmen boots by Frye, which I found at Urban Outfitters for $150, marked down from $328. I'd never seen a pair of Frye boots hit such a low price point; I figured (read: rationalized) that this was a now-or-never situation.

Your favorite shopping secret or style tip: Nothing too revolutionary, just know your aesthetic. I think a lot about what I'm doing with my clothes -- my color palette, the silhouettes I like, the pieces I consider signatures (enter the 'signature style' cliche). Knowing yourself and the look you're aiming for will lead to a cohesive wardrobe full of items that work well together.
