Despite your current attitude about coming back to work after a long holiday weekend, people generally tend to be optimistic by nature, according to a freaking ginormous Gallup poll that was taken across the globe. The poll was taken by adults in 140 countries, and represents about 95 percent of the world's population. When asked, 89 percent of the 150,000 people polled thought the next five years of their lives would probably get better or at least stay the same, whereas 95 percent of the world's population thinks that their lives in five years will be better than they were five years ago.
So the next time someone's being a grumpy-puss, or just a depressed pain in the ass, remember that her Eeyore homage is probably just concealing the fact that deep down she thinks the world is made of ice cream. And that everything will be all right.
