Invite Anxiety (n.): This occurs when you get a mass invite to an event your crush is throwing, appearing or performing at. You really cannot tell if he wants you to show up to his band's gig or touch-football game, or he just wants as many people as possible to attend. Maybe he invited you to a proper event on Facebook. Is this a personal invite, or did he invite all 400 of his friends? Does he want to look out into the audience and see your beautiful face, or was he just bored at work and killing time trying to promote his house party? Your biggest fear is that you show up (by yourself because none of your friends could be bothered going to a DJ night on a Tuesday) and he has four other girls hanging around him. Then you'll feel bummed that you misread the situation.
Invite anxiety is the worst. We wish we could help you out here, but you're pretty much on your own with this one.

What's even worse? The not-an-invite invite. As in- hey, me and our mutual friends who didn't know we dated are going to this party two hours out of your way tonight, and it's going to be really fun and you should totally show up and we can pretend you ran into us by accident!
Yeah. Sign me up.
