From motorcycle racer to entrepreneur to the brains behind the annual International Female Ride Day, Vicki Gray is helping more female motorcycle and scooter riders take to the open road.

Why We Love Her: Canadian-born Gray had a successful racing and coaching career and now helps motivate other female riders to keep revving their engines.

She started her own motorcycle school while living in the Caribbean and then relocated to Europe to found RaceGirl Motorsport, the professional-level motor-racing organization involved in NASCAR and other events. The brand was the first to feature fierce, yet feminine, images of motorcycle riders. A few years ago, Gray returned to Canada to form Motoress, a female riding community, and launch International Female Ride Day.

Quote: "There's a real camaraderie among women and a real pride to participate in this one-day event dedicated entirely to women riders," Gray said about Ride Day. "The day has become a terrific incentive for women's rider clubs and friends to get together and celebrate their common interest in the activity."
