The whole point of Twitter? It forces brevity. These book-smart Tweeters took that idea and gave themselves a fun challenge: Summarize great works of literature in a sentence or two. (Take that, Sparknotes!) For example: Catcher in the Rye: Rich kid thinks everyone is fake except his little sister. Has breakdown.
Cute, right? We wanted in. So we came up with our own Twitter synopses of things that have as much influence on most women as the Great American Novel: chick flicks. Enjoy!
Titanic: Boy saves girl. Boy & girl have sweaty sex while you sit next to your mom in theater, horrified. Boy dies, radio plays crap song for months.
The Notebook: Old man reads to old woman a story about make-outs & topless Ryan Gosling. Your boyfriend cries, causing you to reevaluate the relationship.
The Sound of Music: Extremely fertile sea captain falls in love with nun. Nun falls in love with children. There are Nazis and singing.

Moulin Rouge: Penniless songwriter and courtesan have wild secret affair. They sing. They dance. Uh oh! She has a cough.
Pretty Woman: Sexy businessman picks up gorgeous hooker. They fall in love. Audience is incredulous, charmed.
The Break-Up: Marginally likable couple split up on screen. Movie does so-so, couple splits IRL. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt still good-looking, happy.
Sleepless in Seattle: Woman hears man on radio show and stalks him for 90 minutes to Louis Armstrong songs. They hold hands.
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days: Boy plays trick on girl. Girl plays trick on boy. Girl loses boy, gets boy back. Girl and boy make "Fool's Gold." We all die a little inside.

Summer Chick Flicks No Man Should Be Forced to See: Because even we don't want to see "The Proposal"
If Homer's 'Odyssey' was written on Twitter, high school kids probably wouldn't hate it as much.
The "Cool" Dad at the party, translated. Not only is dead-on fact, but it's a great use of rollover links.

These are great. I've started a similar project called Haiku Review, since as a programmer and writer I see a lot of films but don't often get to share immediate, succinct impressions.
Follow me @brandnewfarihah - I am tweeting my Haiku Review of UP later today!

fantastic! I love the fools gold joke. It should have been called "how to loose a guy in 11 days!"
