While traditional sex-ed classes tend to focus on STD- and pregnancy-prevention, a recent University of Western Australia study claims that girls are missing an important part of the equation: how to resist sex entirely. They're not preaching complete abstinence; just control, since girls who feel pressured to get down or go ahead because they are drunk are more likely to regret it. While the idea of teaching girls and not boys to "just say no" is inherently sexist, we're not even sure we've totally mastered the skill of gracefully saying, "No, thanks."
Sometimes it's just easier to give in than to go home ... or engage in the third-date debate (especially after a few cocktails). How do you deflect unwanted advances? Have you ever hooked up just because you didn't know how to shut a guy down?
