Wanda Sykes, the comic who spoke at this weekend's White House Correspondents' Dinner, might have everyone's panties in a twist for wishing death on Rush Limbaugh, but we're still glad a woman got to headline. (And she killed it.) For this week's LifeSpy, we found three other ladies who do standup and blog about it -- with a little controversy of their own to boot.Swisher's Untitled Blog Project: Add brilliant insight on current events to a comedienne's wit and you have Swisher's Untitled Blog Project. Laura Swisher, a standup and actress who "just re-relocated from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Los Angeles," recently shot a TV pilot. Until she makes it to the big show, catch her biting sarcasm at her blog.
Sandy Stec's Blog: Part radio deejay / part TV host / part comic, Sandy Stec is all kinds of entertaining. It's hilarious, sure, but her blog is a window into the life of a working comedian, like worrying about how her weight affects her chances of becoming a series regular. She meets her funny quota by making fun of her fellow TV stars along the way.
Rebecca Arthur's Blog: Rebecca Arthur was once told to imagine the person she resented and then wish upon that person what she would wish for herself. She had a bad breakup, so she prayed for her ex to have bigger breasts. "It didn't work for either of us," she says. There's a lot more where that came from on Rebecca's blog, which is kind of like "Deep Thoughts" for the embittered.
