Appropriate: Learning the Cupid Shuffle on YouTube. Inappropriate: Learning how to deliver your baby on YouTube. Yet this dad delivered his own child after watching this cheesy do-it-yourself video. Marc Stephens said he Googled childbirth tips after his wife felt discomfort, and found one called "How to Deliver a Baby in a Taxi Cab." Hours later, mom was in labor, and Marc saved the day with his new midwife skills.
YouTube's a great resource, but there are some things, like, say, childbirth, we'd rather not learn from a video. For example:
How to put a temporary filling in a cavity. Our teeth hurt just thinking about this. We'd rather suffer the yucky drill smell and bleeding gums than attempt to fix anything in our mouths.
How to fix a refrigerator. The dude in the video says it himself: Refrigerators are complicated, and we're probably going to have to call a service center. So let's skip your how-to video all together and find someone who can chill our Diet Coke fast.Check out more stuff you can learn on YouTube (but probably shouldn't) after the jump.
How to build a computer. CPU? Motherboard? Huh? We just want the hot guy from the Apple commercials to help us pick out our new laptop.
How to get pregnant. If you haven't figured out that Mr. Stork doesn't actually deliver babies, you're probably beyond video help. Actually, this video is more about fertility tips, but we just thought the title was funny.
How to be a better person. We'll use life as the great teacher on this one, not this guy.Let us know what other weird instructional videos we should avoid.
