Miss North Carolina may have won the Miss USA competition, but Miss California took top honors as Most Likely to Get Her Ass Kicked on the Way to the Parking Lot. When out-and-proud blogger and guest judge Perez Hilton asked Carrie Prejean what she thought of legalizing gay marriage, the 21-year-old Miss California word-horked about "opposite marriage" (huhhh?) and rambled, "In my family I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there but that's how I was raised and that's how I think that it should be between a man and a woman."
In a video response, a typically restrained Perez called Prejean a "dumb b----" and ranted that she lost not because of her answer, but because of her inability to answer diplomatically.
We hate to say it, but we (ugh) agree with Perez on this one. Maybe somebody should call Carrie and tell her that you're not supposed to swallow the Crest White Strips.
Tell us: Do you think Perez had a point? Or was Carrie right to be honest?

Lance Bass: Tearin' up my heart, Lance.

T.R. Knight: Knight's "Grey's Anatomy" romances with Izzy and Callie made us think he was a lady lover in real life. Not so much.

Boy George: It was the 80s: EVERYONE was wearing make-up. How could we have known?

Chad Allen: Adorably spiky-haired Allen graced the cover of dozens of pre-teen mags and the walls of countless teen girl bedrooms. He got us to watch "Our House" and like it.

George Michael: We thought when he sang "I Want Your Sex" he was talking about us. We were wrong.

Neil Patrick Harris: Doogie set us up for liking awkward too-smart boys for life.

Clay Aiken: A nation of tweens (and their emotionally-stunted adult counterparts) swooned over this crooner, who seemed like the kind of guy you could talk to for hours and who'd never pressure you to get to second base. Now it all makes perfect sense.

Morrissey: Was he gay, or just sensitive?

Greg Louganis: We wanted to "go for the gold" with him.

B.D. Wong: Maybe his campy turn as Howard Weinstein in Father of the Bride should have clued us in, but Wong managed to fool a few of us into thinking he was straight.

I don't agree with blog.
I might go to hell as I am no saint, but I must applaud her for standing up and being true to her convictions. She was asked her opinion and she gave it in a honest balanced way. In my opinion is it is not only an opinion but a truth. If she had said otherwise I would have to respectfully disagree.
Does she not have to right to express her opinion, no offence or are we look at say I support GAY marriage or else?

It's simple really, if you don't believe in Gay marriage, then don't have one. It's the same with abortions, if you don't believe in abortion, then don't have one. Your opinion and my opinion can be different, but that dosen't mean that either one of us is wrong.

When people start answering diplomatically and stop standing for what they believe in, then all we have are politicians that step away from the truth and always side step. I think it's great that she stood for what she believed it and it's a shame that people who support gay marriage (who pride themselves on being tolerant) were completely intolerant of someone else's views. In fact those in the audience were completely disrespectful.

If you ask a question , then one needs to respect the answer. She was ask what she thought. and she answered. If you do not like the possible answer to a question then don't ask the question. I think her answer was fine. When you ask a contorversal question there are two answeres for and againest.

What Perez was saying...it's not that she didn't have a right to have and speak her oppinion at the pagent. But there are ways she could have made the same point that would not have instantly alienated so many people. You do not have to be "in your face" to make your point. In fact, a soft spoken sincere word will draw more listeners to your message. His objection was not about how she felt, but how she stated it. And like the author of this story, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth to have to agree with him, but sometimes, even jerks make a point.

I have never been so appaulled by a judge that was so unprofessional that he used profanity on a contestant! I don't recall this EVER happening in the history of the Miss American pageant, Miss Universe Pageant, Miss Teen pageant!!! His reaction was a clear example of REVERSE discrimination! It is so un-American to attack someone's right to free speech! Then denied or potentially denied a person of a victory because of this discrimination! I was starting to be pro-same sex marriages, but now, NO WAY! In California it came to a vote, they lost, and now they are challenging the Constitutional ramifications...But never said that BEFORE the election! Sound like the cause is just being poor sports! So much for democracy....Now I understand why freedom of speech means nothing to him!

What's wrong with Perez? He asked her opinion and she gave her honest answer. Did he expect Carrie to lie and be a hypocrite like him?

"America is corroding in the wake of political correctness." It is truly a shame that we are on the heels of becoming a socialist nation, slowly losing our rights, turning the constitution into an unrecognizable instrument and unable to express our opinions and speak our truths for fear of losing our jobs or in this case a contest. Freedom of speech is what has made the United States the greatest nation in the world. HAS as in past tense.

These homos need to get over themselves. Not everybody thinks like they do. Most people are sickened by what they think is normal behavior. If they would stop trying to ram their gayness down people's throats(pun intended) then maybe people would be more sympathetic to their cause.

Your comment is disgusting. You most likely are just another white trash red neck who doesn't have a clue about anything except the trailer park you live in.
