Usually within a few minutes or so of a first date, I've made up my mind as to whether I like him. If he's got a big "Ummm No" written across his forehead, I usually won't agree to a second date, even if I do want a free dinner. That whole give-him-a-chance attitude doesn't really resonate with me. However, many friends of mine will continue to date a guy even if they're over him right away -- they say they want to give the chemistry a chance to grow.
How many times, though, is it appropriate to go out with a guy before you finally bail? I feel you'd be leading him on past three dates if you aren't really feelin' him. (And if you don't enjoy his company, then what's the point of wasting your time anyway?) Some girls, though, get in a total revolving door of dates because they can't think of a "good" reason to tell him no.
Tell us! How many dates have you gone on with a guy you weren't truly interested in? Why did you keep saying "yes"? How do you say no to a guy you don't want to date?

Women do this kind of thing a lot on dates. They really should stop it! They know if they see anything they like in somebody and they can tell sort of immediately if they see a future with the guy.

I've done this a couple of times even though I didn't feel chemistry with them, because the guys had great credentials (brawn, beauty, brains, similar interests etc). So, although I didn't like them romantically, I really did have a lot of respect for them and sincerely enjoyed their company.
Ever been friends or acquaintance with someone... and then one day they do something and you look at them in a completely different light? As in, you think... wow, this person is amazing... That's why I go continue to go on these dates: I figured, why not give go out a couple of more times? Maybe they'll surprise me.
