We just might have discovered the culprit behind all those socks that have disappeared over the years. They've been stolen by a cat.

Jack, a 1-year old tom from Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, started stealing from his neighbors' clotheslines last October. In addition to socks and underpants, he's taken 27 pairs of gloves, some hats and a pair shorts.

He mostly goes out at night to add to his creepy collection (kinda like a serial killer!) "It's his fetish," owner Judy Waring told riveted local news teams.

After Judy's home filled with her neighbors' unmentionables, she came up with a novel solution -- hanging everything on a clothesline and letting people claim what's theirs. Hopefully they're not too mad about having their underpants stolen and being put on display.

Judy is thinking about calling a pet psychic (for reals!) to have Jack's kleptomania evaluated. Meanwhile, let's just say what we're all thinking: I'm in ur clothesline, stealin ur thongs.
