Quick question: Are you currently gnashing your teeth? It's possible. A recent survey reports that workers find Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. to be the most stressful time of the work week. Sure, Mondays are tiring but they're basically a write-off -- you roll on in, cruise through Facebook, read the weekend gossip and let your brain "catch up" to being back at work.
Then Tuesday rolls around. At approximately 11:45 you realize you didn't read any of those important e-mails you got yesterday, your whole plan for the work week is extremely flawed, and you're about one day short of the time you actually need to get everything done. AAAARRRGHHH!!

This is the curse of Tuesday, and the reason why people are most likely to get stuck working late on the second day of the workweek. And Tuesdays in January must be extra-bad -- experts have pinpointed sometime that month as the most depressing day of the year. Could Tuesday be the new Monday?
Can we change our bad office habits and make the entire week less stressful, or are we doomed to hating life at least 1 out of every 5 days? (The survey, done by a nutritional supplement company, suggests supplements as a way to help out. Shocking.)

Thursdays at 2:00 is the worst hour of the workweek, in my opinion. Those last three hours of work seem to drag by, and it feels like I can't get anything done. The weekend is so close, so if I even HAVE anything that needs to get done, I'm too indifferent to do it.

2pm on Friday is the worst. Everyone who forgot or put off something during the week suddenly must have it before they leave for the weekend.

My worst day is Tuesday, worst time is 11am!
I'm an asst. toddler teacher at a daycare, and on Tuesdays, the lead teacher has school, so I'm in charge, changing 15 hungry toddlers, right before lunch/nap is my definition os stress! I spend most of Tuesday praying for Wednesday!

I guess I'd have to say that Wednesday's are the worst for me - typically anytime. I am self-employed, so thank God I don't have anyone to boss me around except myself! lol But seriously, Wednesday's suck because they're right in the middle of the work week.
I'm just the opposite of some of you guys - I love those last hours of working right before leaving for vacation. Just knowing that I won't have to be in my office or answer any calls for the next week or 2 gives me that extra "rush" of adreneline that I need to get everything done and leave no stone unturned before closing the office. IMO, there's no better feeling than knowing you got it all done and that 24 hours from now, you'll be sipping drinks by the pool! lol

I remember reading several years ago that Sunday, late afternoon to early evening, is the most stressful, when the most heart attacks occur, at least among working folks. That's when you start dreading the work week.

I'm retired now, but I worked many years. For me it was Sunday, especially Sunday night, that was the worst and most stressful, as I dreaded the thought of going to work the following day. I loved it just before vacation, even if I was busy and had to work late, knowing I was going to be gone for a week or even a long weekend. That made me very happy.

It maybe that some slackers have time to cruise about on web, but I do not know any of them.
Kind of thought the current economic conditions would drive most of those out of the work place.

This is unbelievable. You guys are a bunch of slackers....I try to take a day off from work each week, but sometimes it's not possible. I work every day and mostly one on one, so there's NO TIME to goof off and do any personal stuff....and vacation???? It's rare indeed...and if I can afford one I usually stay home since I never see my house except to sleep.
