If you've ever been a struggling artist, here's something that will make you gnash your teeth and clench your fists.

Meet Ziggy, an adorable Pekingese from California whose paintings are selling for $250 a pop.

Ziggy picked up the brush at the urging of his owner, Elizabeth Monacelli, and now he paints professionally -- when he isn't suffering from spells of ennui ... or trolling for dog biscuits.

Monacelli somehow figured out that if she attached a paintbrush to a cardboard tube from a roll of paper towels, Ziggy would place his wet little puppy nose in there and use the homemade contraption to paint a picture. Here's some video of the little guy in action.

It's kind of like Daniel Day-Lewis in "My Left Foot," only not at all.

It can take Ziggy weeks to finish just one painting, but it's worth it, since the proceeds from his work go to animal rescue charities.
