In a bid for world cuteness domination, Japan has elected three ambassadors of cute to show the world how much Japan adores things that look like dolls.

The three girls were chosen based on the style of clothes they wear in everyday life and will represent the country at cultural expos and other events worldwide.

The idea is to let everyone know that there are people dressed in ridiculously adorable outfits, and we should love all of them. (Remember, this is the country that last year made Hello Kitty a tourism ambassador.)

The adorable ladies will give talks on fashion and probably prance around to annoyingly cheerful pop music in an effort to spread "kawaii" (cute) culture across the globe.

The three girls chosen represent Japanese schoolgirl style (yeah, be careful when Googling that), "Gothic Lolita" style (which apparently consists of looking like an old rag doll), and one girl whose style couldn't be named but does involve a large polka-dot sweater with a rabbit on it and a bouffant. Barf.
