At first, I was perplexed by the Pure Wand ($108). Pulling it out of its swank, velvet-lined box, I wondered, "Where do the batteries go? Just what the heck does this thing DO?" A quick Google search tipped me off to the fact that this double-ended toy is for G-spot or prostate massage.

If you're one of those women (like me) who believe the G-spot is probably a myth invented by Cosmopolitan, the weight and pressure of the Pure Wand will dispel those doubts.

I have had a hard-and-fast "no animals in my crotch" policy since a boyfriend once gave me a "Charlie the Chimp" dildo with a vibrating banana that made me burst out laughing every time I tried to use it. But even though the Rabbit Habit ($90) does include a miniature bunny with whirling, vibrating ears, the dual sensations of penetration and vibration make this toy an indispensable part of every girl's sex-toy arsenal.

Con: Charlotte got addicted to the rabbit on an episode of "Sex and the City," making me feel a bit cliched for liking it.
