Wow, it's very interesting to me at how many people out here want conformity. I thought the reason why no one else was 'made' like another was for flavor, spice, to make things interesting? Isn't difference what makes the world go round? I feel as long as you aren't hurting yourself and/ or others "Let freedom ring". After all aren't tattoos legal? I feel tattoos are a form of freedom of speech. I don't know if anyone of you against women having tattoos have ever seen a show on 'WE' called "real lives of women" (or something like that) but some of these women on this show are doing far worse things at night while teaching your children during the day. Why should we be given the right to judge someone for the way they choose to look? Does it hurt us? Affect our economy negatively? Force you to do something you wouldn't normally do? If you answered yes to any of these, I feel for you. I think that ignorance is bliss and should be considered a disease. Let's look at the world through our rose colored glasses for just a moment after all this war and hate we need color. We need to look outside the box, outside 'ourselves'. Don't forget "your" morals but don't throw the first stone inside your glass house either.

Tattoos on anyone are ugly and unneccessary. Look ahead to age 80 when you are in a nursing home with wrinkled skin. (ugh !) A messed up outside indicates a messed up inside (your head). Don't advertise your twisted ideas to the world. Keep them to yourself.

Im sorry but who the hell is ANYONE to tell women what tattoos they should and should not get? It's bad enough people want to tell us whether or not we should be able to have abortions. Tatoos are a disgraceful cliche. You are not unique or cool for having body "art". These tats will look like blue-green globs of ink when you age and your skin texture changes. For those of you with Chinese characters, the asian community looks at you like complete trash. If you have not soldiered through the trenches in battle, saved lives in fiery blazes, pulled serious time, or ridden with some of the toughest in the world, you are not worthy of a tat. So go dye your hair green, pierce your nose, and get a tattoo of a chinese character meaning "hope" or "independence" and you will look like a total idiot to the world and hard working Americans that are actually tattoo worthy.

Wow I can't believe that woman who tattooed her pregnant belly....that is really dangerous for the baby. i agree that most of these women look trashy, but not all tattooed women are trashy. I have a couple and I like them. And to Eve, the women who gave that God-awful advice to her daughter, I hope your daughter ignores you and does what she wants because she wants to do it. She shouldn't restrict herself because she wants to please a man she hasn't even met yet. Does she also starve herself to be thin for him and bind her feet. I plan on getting my own tat soon, and my mother even has one. Nice to think that people will be calling me a skank and a whore and that they think the same of my mother.
To the person who said that you don't see people with PHD's with tattoos, how do you know? I plan on it myself (or at least a masters...)
Tats are a form of self expression. Yes, I think some are kind of silly, but it's not my choice to make. All I know is that my tat will be completely unique, and there won't be another one like it anywhere.
