We like cats, but not as much as this lady. Russian resident Nina Kostsovo lives with and cares for 130 cats. That's a lot of litter.
Kostsovo isn't a careless animal hoarder either -- she feeds the kitties twice a day and makes sure that all male cats are fixed. She took in her first cat 15 years ago, and since then her tiny two-room apartment has become a repository for wandering strays.
As this Reuters video shows, feeding time for 130 felines can be a bit chaotic.

I though my mom, my husband and I had it bad. We started taking in cats 7 years ago, and now have 80 cats in our home (thank god its a house and not a 2 room apt), and hundreds more strays we feed at night (and I mean EVERY night, rain, snow, hot, freezing, even holidays :-D) It is very very hard work. Most people think that "cat ladys" really are crazy. I suppose some are that keep taking more in then they can care for. We only have taken in the cats who couldnt survive outside, the rest we just help their already rough lives with an easy meal. Its definatly a hard life you have to choose to live, and pretty much give up any free time for caring for them. All of our cats have names, and yes, we know who is who. They are all fixed and well taken care of. my mom works at a vet clinic so thankfully we get vet care for free! we go threw a 35lb bag of cat food every 2 days, and 80lbs of litter every 2 days. We volunteer 4 days a week at a pet food bank, and get our food from there, so we pretty much work for our cat food that way. We've been very blessed to have the means to help so many cats. what can I say? some people dish out soup at homeless shelters to help those in need, some offer their home (and really every other apsect of their lives) to save cats, or any other animal in need, some people do NOTHING. so don't judge others who worry about something other then themselves. P.S. *I am also very VERY blessed to have my husband. Some guys dont like the thought of even 1 cat. He learned I had 80 very shortly after we started dating, and he offered his help and his heart, we were married 2 months later.
