Globetrotter Tripper (n.): He fancies himself a world traveler and one quick look at his passport will let you know that he's been everywhere! He might have a ponytail and wear mandals (man sandals), and he probably doesn't bother with deodorant. He'll try to take you to exotic restaurants all over town and complain about how the food in Ethiopia was way better than the dreck they serve here.
At first it's really exciting to hear about his adventures. But then you begin to realize that he's actually pretty self-righteous, preachy and annoying. So by the time he tells you that he's decided to teach English in Malaysia for the next year, you're not actually that sad to see him go.

The premise of this article is OK, but it's obvious that the writer hasn't traveled much. Otherwise, s/he would know that everybody ALREADY speaks English in Malaysia. It's one of their official languages.
