And while we'd probably never don a constrictive corset or a pair of vinyl bondage pants (way too uncomfortable), we salute their extreme style chops.

Goth chicks: We love their droll humor, their wicked overuse of eyeliner and their fetish for all things black. In high school, they always seemed more worldly and cultured than the mawkish jocks or preppy girls, thanks to all-night industrial rave parties and MTV's

No... the makeup says DRAG QUEEN. Goth is so stupid. It's just a pitoful cry for attention. "I want to be different... so I'm going to dress EXACTLY the same as every other goth moron!"

WellHow can you just sit there and put everyone who dress like that int he same catigory of wanting to be different or or wanting attention, To the different thing, Most people dress preppy or ghetto to ge tthe attraction of othe rpeople and to make friends hwo dress the same way, I dont even call it goth becaus eif you do your history goth isnt even what eveyrone portrays it to be, Some people just dont want to be like eveyrone in the mainstream. im not saying they all do it because of that some do just want attention because they r just retarded but whatever, And some just like the scary look, I had a bunch of friends who dressed liek that but they werent shouting for attention they just liked the culture and none really called themselves goth, I found out that most people who call themself goth are just fakes that dont get the attention they were looking for, Im just saying... Cynthia your opinion sucks and your closed minded towards something you probably have no idea about

My dear, Cynthia. If this style of makeup reminds you of a "Drag queen" so much, why did you come to look at this? It's clearly named "Gorgeous Goth Girl Style". Apparently SOMETHING caught your eye and persuaded you to look through the pictures. Did it not?
And to the rest of you, what is your problem? You speak of Goth as if it is so terrifying, what do you think the Goths think of you? The Preps? The Jocks? The over worked men and woman that are cranky and have nothing better to do but bad mouth everyone else?
Ha, it's funny how men and women of the OLDER generation are still acting so childish. I know not everyone on here is young.
Ha... Instead of criticizing different people, you should be admiring how they make 'different' beautiful.

you are a dumb f****** whor* you will never be more that that and you will probably die a fuc**** whor*. why do you hate on people like you are special? just let people dress the way they wanna dress. everyone should have their own kinda style. its a pretty cool freedom we have. furthermore if you dress like a prep or a jock you just look like you have no personality other than i'm a dumb bit**. goth girls are awesome. punk girls are even better. i hope somebody rapes you at a party cynthia. show you what a preppy girl is all about. if you wanna make your little remarks on how others think when you dont have a damned clue. just imagine how everyone else is. everyone else knows exactly what the preppy and jock girls are about. the next time you run your mouth make sure there isnt a dick in it whor*

As a "Goth." as you so ignorantly have termed, I found this to be sterotypical and frankly I'm offended.
You wouldn't post a picture of a "prep" going " Like like like like."
But displaying one of a girl in black and chains "having a dark moment?"
Excuse me,
GOTHS ARE HAPPY.
The style, the culture, the music, may be indeed on the darker side, but that doesn't mean we don't giggle like school girls at the very sight of your highschool quarterback.
This was NOT an informational piece. This was a BURN article.
"Goth" is just another style and trend and culture just like "prep" "emo" "scene." "indie." is.
We're not doing it "STAND OUT."
And hell, we might love attention.
Maybe it will teach you to be a little more open and expressive.
I will wave my thick eyeliner high above my head in saying,
viva le vive "Goth."
And Im sorry sweetheart,
but you say Drag queen like it's a bad thing.
Drag queens are just another form of expressing yourself.
Come outside your house once in a while, and stop letting your ignorance get the best of you.
Additionally, I have see heavier and more dramatic makeup on your "chic" and "fashionable." models then what is pictured here.
Ignorance.
And Im sorry, but just because some of the girls in this article are not to your standard of "hot" does not mean that they are less beautiful or better of people.
I can pick out handfuls of "preps" who are not hot.
Open your mind, and shut your mouth.
Learn your facts you ignorant child.

you really shouldn't judge a person on how they dress. It's called freedom of expression. you don't know why people dress the way they do. If someone's life is perfect doesn't mean everyone around them is. so what goth may be stupid to you but its just another label stereotype you 'preps' put on everyone. Doesn't mean where all alike. yes WE CAN SMILE!!! WE CAN LAUGH, LOVE, the whole nine yards. it may be stupid to you but for other people its a way to find people who share the same ideas. I'm supposedly 'emo' or 'goth' or something like that but it doesn't mean i cut my wrist. look around no two people are the same so that think about it before you say something is stupid. Proud to be what i am and i don't give a shyt if people don't like it

Fuck you bitch. I bet your one of those preppy, biosexual girly girls. Goth is a form of beuty and yes, sometimes it cries for attention. But did you ever think of why? Your a fucking little bitch and you'll never be anything because of your close mind. So fuck you. To tell the truth, I dress this way, and a lot of people call me goth. For the win.

Ok, I only saw one girl that could even remotely be described as attractive. The rest of those goth girls couldn't be considered pretty even with normal make up and clothes on. That was truely scary!

you people are ridiclious!!!!! Have you ever hung out with the peoplethat you are talking about? I didn't think so because you think you are SOOOOOOO much better than them, but let me tell you something I was into the goth thing in high school and they are the nicest people you will ever meet. Yes they want to be different but every individual puts their own spin on their paticular goth wardrobe not everyone is EXACTLY the same you moron.
And as far as them looking like whores all I have to say is go to a football game and look at your cheerleaders or go to your local mall and look at the youth of today. If you ask me they all dress as if they have no pride in themselves. They don't think they are attracative so they put all of themselves out there for others to gawk at to make them feel beautiful. I would much rather wear loose fitted clothes that left it to the imagination of the other, or better yet why don't we go back to the victorian era and dress in about 6 layers that cover from our necks to our ankles and it was cosidered very riske' to show an ankle!!!!!

Oh Tasha i know exactly who you were. You were the girl who didnt get asked to prom and when people asked you said youdrather be dead than go to a prom. We all know your still hurt from that but guess what no one cares. If you and your goth friends want to dress in all black and pretend to worship the devil be my guest. And about your comment of youd rather wear loose clothing, I bet you would because im not even sure you would like to see your own stomach hang over your pants and your whole body jiggle as you walk.

you should've mentioned the store Libby Lu, they have 7 and 8 year old girls with semi transparent dresses and dance for crowds of 40 year old guys at the mall every Friday

Dear Ms Gertsein: Before you assemble another gallery of overweight, overage, overly-made up, desperately neurotic wannabes and decide to call them "gorgeous," you might wish to visit a qualified ophthalmologist. (Look it up.)

This reply is for Mr. Jassol: I just LOVE the name you used. Are you related to the one who used to sit next to me in Social Studies and sign the attendance sheet that way when the regular teacher was absent? I'm not sure, Hugh, but I think you really stole your name from our former president. (Uh, oh; I'm in deep doo-doo, now.)

No, Ben. That was me! How are you? Remember that girl I took to the Prom, Anita Bejay? I head she married that gay guy, Phil McCrackin. They live in Bird in Hand, PA., right next to my sister, Euralar. Take care, and say hello to Eileen for me.
