You probably didn't need another reason to love Ryan Gosling or Joaquin Phoenix, but we'll give you one anyway: They're ardent animal lovers.Phoenix is a long time vegan who won't wear real leather or fur costumes in any of his movies. And Gosling helped bring much-needed reform to KFC's poultry supply system.
We'd probably sweat these 11 dudes anyway, but their animal-loving ways are the cherry on top.
A Boy and His Dog
Joaquin Phoenix Longtime vegan Phoenix is an ardent PETA supporter. He filmed a no-turkey-on-Thanksgiving spot for the animal rights organization and insists on fake fur and leather for film costumes.

Alec Baldwin The guy we wish was our (semi-abusive) dad, Baldwin recently supported efforts by animal activists to improve conditions for carriage horses in New York City.

Anthony Head The Buffy the Vampire slayer guy is a big time supporter of London's Mayhew Home for Animals, one of the city's largest animal sanctuaries.

David Spade Spade plays snarky on TV, but in real life he's got a soft spot for the soft and furry. In 2008, he donated $10,000 to the Humane Society in his hometown after his mama told him the shelter was in need. Snark that.

Goran Visnjic In 2007, this hot piece of Croatian ass starred in a PETA ad reminding folks that "if you wouldn't wear your dog, please don't wear any fur."

Justin Berfield This Malcolm in the Middle star owns 15 animals, including three pugs, two cats, and nine tortoises. That's a lot of poop.

Nigel Barker The America's Next Top Model judge is kinder to animals than he is to ANTM contestants: Barker recently returned from a trip to the Canadian Arctic to photograph and raise awareness about the plight of baby harp seals!

Pete Wentz Pete's a dog lover through and through (insert obvious Ashlee Simpson joke here); the Fall Out Boy bassist goes everywhere with his bulldog Hemingway and new pup Rigby.

Richard Belzer The Belz doesn't go anywhere without his pup Bebe, a stray dog he rescued from the mean streets of Paris.

Ryan Gosling Gosling joined a campaign to urge KFC to improve conditions in their poultry slaughterhouses. "The time is ripe to do the right thing," wrote Gosling. "By adopting the basic recommendations made by PETA and scientific experts (including raising birds in a more natural manner and employing less cruel slaughter methods), you could dramatically improve the lives and deaths of chickens raised and killed for KFC Canada."

I love both of these actors and I LOVE the fact that they stand up for what they believe it. I wish them both the best in life.

I'd wear my dog as a coat. A living coat. IN fact, when I get cold, I pick her up and snuggle her. She looks at me like, "okay mom, can I get some extra treats for this?" But I'd never kill her for her fur. She wears it best.
