You probably didn't need another reason to love Ryan Gosling or Joaquin Phoenix, but we'll give you one anyway: They're ardent animal lovers.

Phoenix is a long time vegan who won't wear real leather or fur costumes in any of his movies. And Gosling helped bring much-needed reform to KFC's poultry supply system.

We'd probably sweat these 11 dudes anyway, but their animal-loving ways are the cherry on top.

    Joaquin Phoenix Longtime vegan Phoenix is an ardent PETA supporter. He filmed a no-turkey-on-Thanksgiving spot for the animal rights organization and insists on fake fur and leather for film costumes.

    Ryan Gosling Gosling joined a campaign to urge KFC to improve conditions in their poultry slaughterhouses. "The time is ripe to do the right thing," wrote Gosling. "By adopting the basic recommendations made by PETA and scientific experts (including raising birds in a more natural manner and employing less cruel slaughter methods), you could dramatically improve the lives and deaths of chickens raised and killed for KFC Canada."
