Ten Dumbest Money Mistakes
Mistake #1: Being Ashamed to Invest Small Amounts
With this attitude, you'll never save anything. What is small to one investor may be huge to another.
Solution: Begin saving something from your next paycheck. The dollar amount is not important. Developing the habit of saving is.

Mistake #2: Having Inadequate Emergency Savings
Without this nest egg you could wind up deeply in debt.
Solution: Stash three to six months' worth of living expenses in a money market fund or bank CD.

Mistake #3: Leaving Cash in a Bank Savings Account
The interest rate is far too low.
Solution: Move it immediately to a money market fund, money market deposit account, or online bank.

Mistake #4: Operating Too Many Accounts
If you have several bank accounts, a number of mutual funds, and brokerage accounts, you're spending too much on service fees. And it's way too difficult to keep track of rates, prices, and other details.
Solution: Consolidate. Have one checking account, two or three mutual funds, and one brokerage account.

Mistake #5: Confusing Income with Appreciation
If you don't know what an investment is for, you're likely to hold or sell the wrong thing. Do not expect growth stocks and growth mutual funds to pay high dividends or income. Do not expect CDs or bonds to rise in price.
Solution: Read up on these.

Mistake #6: Avoiding Financial Goal Setting
Yogi Berra said it best: "If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going to wind up someplace else." Most people devote more time planning their vacations than their financial future. Consequently, they spend as much or more on cruises, airline tickets, and hotels than they do funding their retirement accounts or building up a nest egg.
Solution: Set just one or two specific goals. Write them down and discuss them with a stockbroker or financial adviser.

Mistake #7: Failing to Diversify
It's tempting to put all your money in one place because it's convenient and easy. No investment is ever sufficiently profitable or safe to justify this lazy approach.
Solution: Divide your assets among CDs, money market funds, stocks, bonds, Treasuries, and real estate.

Mistake #8: Procrastinating
Most of us put off making financial decisions because we're afraid we'll do the wrong thing.
Solution: Set time deadlines and take several small, easy investment steps, one at a time. For example, if you have $3,000 on hand in week number one, put one-third into a money market fund. The next week, buy a bank CD. The following week, use the remaining amount to buy shares of a blue chip mutual fund.

Mistake #9: Ignoring Savings Plans at Work
Tax-deferred 401(k) or stock purchase plans are good deals, especially if your company matches your contribution. So are automatic EE Savings Bond programs.
Solution: Talk to your benefits officer this Monday.

Mistake #10: Failing to Have a Will
If you care about the other people in your life, keep an updated will.
Solution: Call your lawyer this week.

Apparently, her ENTIRE existence is a lie. She claimed to be 29 during the whole show. She as much that as she had cancer. She looks like she's about in her 40's. Fake as they come. I feel bad for her kids.

I can't explain why, but I watched every episode of this show with much anticipation. It;s one of those train wreck things where I just couldn't look away. Kim is an idiot. She was completely humiliated on the show. What ever made her think she could sing? On the last episode with the whole cancer thing (how dare she when so many people are affected by this) I was blown away! What the hell was she thinking? What a low life! I guess she thought that this would make everyone symapathise with her and we would all forget what a backstabbing bitch she was to NeNe.....nope!

Kim Zolciak doesn't have any morales. I had breast cancer, and still going through treatment, and that is nothing to just play with because your feeling sorry for yourself. I wouldn't wish breast cancer on on worst enemy. And for her to say something like something is definitely wrong with her.

I agree faking any illness shows her lack of morales. But then again the entire " House wifes" show is a joke.
I do not consider non-stop shopping, lunching out every day, parting at clubs, days at the spa every week, and all the various other things they do as being a house wife, heck a few are not even married and when is the last time you have seen one of them toss a load a wash in let alone cook one meal.
I am not stay at home June Cleaver but come on they are far from house wifes.

What kind of person would lie about having cancer. I watched my mother die with large tumors all over her body & all I could do is try to comfort her. It is a horrible thing to tell people you have cancer when so many people out there are really losing their hair to the chemo treatments.Kim needs to hang her head in shame.

Kim Zolciak is just a plain obnoxious, loud mouthed, slut. What kind of role model is she to her daughters to be screwing around with a married man ? How would she like it if she was married and some woman was screwing her husband just for his money ?! She is such a skanky ho. Even if she could sing (which she can't), Does she really expect people to buy her CD's now if she makes one ? And to lie about having cancer just to get special attention is a slap in the face to anyone and everyone who really does have cancer. I've lost close to 11 people in my family to cancer. If theres ever another Atlanta Housewives on TV you can bet I wont be watching it if she's on there. She should go crawl in a hole where she belongs.

Kim needs to get her act in line . You should never use cancer. as way of
getting the attention you want . Plus she a white ho who like the lime light.
The show is not real to me . Cause they all lie they all want to be Queen
of whatever. As for kim she can't sing nor be a lady . She been a white trash ho all her life . What a way to live and show her kids what a tramp she really is . It's sad that the kids will grow up just like her. But that her life not mine .
