Thanks for writing. It's great that you want to work toys into sex with your wife. If there were more husbands like you, there'd be a lot of smile-ier (read: orgasm-ier) wives out there. It's easy for sex to become like a dinner of PB&J: familiar, easy, reliable -- and boring. Toys are a way to bring something unfamiliar into a humdrum sex routine.

It sounds like you're comfortable with vibes, which is great -- some guys feel it's a sign that the sex isn't good enough without one. But really, part of being a good lover, especially in a long-term relationship, is keeping the sex interesting and trying new things with your partner. There are a bunch of positions where you can easily incorporate vibes. I've listed some below.

Doggie Style
This old favorite is a good one. With the soon-to-be-happy woman on all fours, she can put some pillows under her torso to free up her hands, then hold a vibrator to her clit. Fingertip vibes are great for this, because she doesn't have to hold on to them. Plus they're cheap, so it's an excellent risk/reward situation.

Woman on Top
With the woman on top, her partner can use any old vibe to press against her for a little extra zing. Or she can hold the vibe, if her partner wants his hands free for ... other things.

Reclined Reverse Spoon
In this position, the guy lies on his back while the woman lies on her back on top of him and he enters from behind. This leaves her top completely exposed so she or her guy can reach between her legs with a vibe. The movement in this position isn't always great, especially if the guy isn't super erect, but It's a great position for viibe-ing -- or for the guy to reach up and fondle her breasts.

The Scissor
In this position the woman lies on her back and the guy faces her on his side. He pulls her closer leg over his waist, then slides his top leg over her other leg, so their legs are scissoring. This position leaves the woman free to use her hands to hold the vibe to her clit, or the guy can use his top arm to hold a toy.

Missionary
Believe it or not you actually can use a vibe in the missionary position, however, you'll probably have to purchase one made especially for this. The first one that comes to mind is the We-Vibe, a U-shaped toy. The woman inserts one of the end of the U into her vagina and the other rests on her hot spot, so it's hands-free. (I'll be reviewing this one in a couple of weeks.)

Another option is a remote-controlled vibe. These slip on like a thong but have a vibe embedded right over the clit. You can leave it vibrating throughout sex, or use the remote to turn it on at the critical moment. And if you're really adventurous, it can be worn when you go to dinner that night ...
