I was born and raised in Europe, when no people of color were seen in our country and we saw Asians, Africans, etc. only in the movies. When the first black doll was imported, - only one type - called Shudu, - parents waited in long lines to get that particular baby doll for their children. Of course this cutie costed a lot more, than any other doll. Belive me or not, my mother brought this same doll to her grandchild as a gift having spent a lot of money make our beloved Shudu look like new.
Nobody would have gotten embarrassed to see a funny black chocolate face. Ok, ihat's the past...
Those second thoughts are way too exaggerated, here is a bakery trying to boost sales. Who cares of complaints, if - besides all goodies, even the roses turn to be green on St. Patrick's day. Why is a funny chock face so insulting? Did I miss something?
