That's absolutely a worthy cause, but we still think it's weird for companies to think that they can get women to buy more just by coming out with pink versions of their products. Even weirder: There are entire Web sites dedicated to hunting down the best in pink refrigerators, oven mitts and handguns. It's enough to make us puke (pink).

I LOVE pink! But I see what you mean about the pink guns, tasers, and army knives. That seems a little ridiculous. But as for the Coffee maker and kitchen knives and so forth, I'd love that. I am also crazy for polka dots too, take that! fashion industry! And the pink tools are sweet, but more importantly, i know how to use them. I think I have a pink gene. (I am wearing all pink right now, pink makeup , earrings, pj's, nail polish, geez Louise, I didn't realize! lol))

I love the color PINK and I think the camera and the laptop are great in pink. But... kitchen appliances in pink are a "no go" because they are expensive items that don't look good with granite countertops or hardly any kitchen decor I have seen since the late 1950s. Maybe in a mid century modern retro kitchen pink appliances if you had black and white vinyl flooring they would look good. (An inexpensive thing like a spatula wouldn't be too foolish since it's not a big monetary investment... but why bother)?. I always buy the Breast Cancer stamps...and they aren't pink...interesting!

Well, this is a ploy to get us girls buy'n.
Well I have a friend who would probably want some of those things, so I'm going to have to check them out for her and tell her where to get them...cuz she loves pink and you know what...so what...If you like something, then get it. Don't use reverse psychology of us, cuz we know what you're doing.

My mom had breast cancer 5 years ago (i'm 16 now) and i would buy ANY of these items BECAUSE they're pink. There's not a day that I don't wear something pink in honor of my mom being a survivor...what's wrong with tazing some jackass with a pink tazer?

Actually, I think the pink tool kit is a GREAT idea! My husband is a contractor and even though he has gajillions of his own tools, the ones I keep in the kitchen for household tasks are always missing. ALWAYS. I came into the marriage 20 years ago with my own basic kit- I even painted the bottoms of the handles with nail polish- but my stuff is always gone. I think my sweetie would think twice before using pink tools...his machismo would suffer.

The woman who wrote these captions is sexist (against men).
Like, the PlayStation 2 "refuses to play World of Warcraft" because it's pink, and therefore "female", and "World of Warcraft" is a "guy's" game? So we guys can't be into "World of Warcraft" AND like pink? What's wrong with us GUYS liking pink? Who says it's a "girl's" color? So why is it all right for women to work with tools and carry Swiss Army Knlves, Glock handguns and Tasers, but it's NOT all right for us guys to like pink? Why the sexist double standard?

I don't have a problem with most of these. The laptop and camera are a metallic pink- I bet they also come in metallic green and other colors- it's called giving consumers a choice.
The Wii and tools are probably marketed with the campaign "Bet he won't be caught dead using YOUR stuff, ladies." I know that my mom had a difficult time keeping track of her tools because dad would borrow them and not put them back- hers were easier to find in that snappy tool box under the sink. Then she got a pink set which he makes fun of, but, guess what? When mom needs to hang a picture, she always knows where her hammer is!
I have to agree with the person who said the guns look fake- the camo one is hilarious! I would hope any parent who gets one makes sure their children KNOW it is real and teach them gun safety.
I think the person/ people who put this together really didn't do much research. If you want to see the WORST pink products ever, try NFLshop.com. Now ther's a bunch of chauvanistic so-and-sos. Trying to grow their female market by offering pink versions of their jerseys (mostly QBs- that Romo is Sooooo dreamy. Give me a break.). I'll put on a pink jersey when Farve or Young do. ugh

I don't see anything wrong with any of these pink products, and think its honorable that these companies would go out of their way to make these products to sell to raise awareness for breast cancer. Where is your compassion? people don't realize how scary it really is.
And in "The Brave One" it was not a Glock, it was a Khar K9

I have to say, I fell into the trap of buying the Pink Swiss Army Knife Keychain except mine didn't have a heart in the insignia. I was in the store, saw it, and thought "Oh My God! It's Pink, I want it." I bought it solely because of its color.
I can't even tell you how much I ended up using that knife. Since it was on my key ring it was almost always immediately available. I finally had to take it off of my main set of keys because I travel for work and you're not allowed to have items like that.
It's easy to see how crazy it can be when you make something pink; however, I think what it really comes down to is the functionality of the product. How likely is it that someone is going to use it?
