If you believe that opposites attract, you won't be surprised to hear the romantic tale of the firebug and her firefighter fiancé.A surveillance camera allegedly caught police officer Melissa Kronebusch entering a Milwaukee home that proceeded to burst into flames. The video then shows Kronebusch leaving the adjacent parking lot in her squad car, then returning minutes later to report the fire.
Who answered the call? None other than her firefighter fiancé. Well, that's one way to make time for each other.
The couple was set to marry on October 10th, but the terms of Kronebusch's bail include having no contact with members of the police or fire departments, which might make for a sparse ceremony.
Somebody needs to tell Melissa that there are much easier ways to get your boyfriend's attention, like trampy clothes or "barsexualism!"

This whole thing isn't as crazy as you think. More often than you would think firefighters have set their own fires. There's actually a psychological term for that condition. The woman obviously has some issues. I have serious doubts that she did this JUST to see her boyfriend. There could actually be a reason she dated and got engaged to a fireman, she may have a thing about fires.

Maybe she was trying to get him a promotion or something before they got married. Either way, she's got problems.

There's a movie about this! A woman who is a "firebug" married to a fireman. She is put on house arrest. Anyone know the movie? I think Debra Winger was the lead.

Sorry but you got a few things wrong in your article.
1. It was not in Milwaukee but 35 miles north of Milwaukee in Saukville, WI (a very small village)
2. It was a vacant house NEXT DOOR to the police station.
3. She broke in the backdoor, went into the basement and according to surveillance tapes a red glow was already visible when she exited the home.
4. She then drove away and returned within a few minutes to report the fire.
5. This fire occured in the Spring, but she wasn't charged until Oct.
6. The house was vacant becasue it was ready to be razed to make way for an entrance to the new police station being built behind the current one.
