Nobody has benefits anymore, so we're offering up the one resource we all have: other people's mothers. Each week a staff mom (nurse, guidance counselor, lawyer and shrink) will answer one of your questions. This week, it's health Q&A with Laura's Mom the Nurse.I bruise very easily. My legs and arms look like somebody's been beating me, but I swear, I'm just clumsy! Aside from trying not to walk into stuff anymore, is there something I can take, or eat, or do, to make my bruises go away faster?
Laura's Mom says:
"A multiple vitamin every day will help prevent bruising if it's vitamin/nutritionally related. It won't help if you're skin and bones and clumsy. When was the last time you had your eyes checked? What kind of shoes/footwear are you stumbling around in? Look at the whole picture."
Laura's Mom the Nurse is a women's health nurse practitioner in Topeka, Kan.
Tell us! Do you have a health question? Need career or legal help? Got a psychiatric quandary (who doesn't)? Put it in the comments, or e-mail editors@lemondrop.com, and we'll send it to our moms.
